A B O U T
We use the finest copper jewelry wire that has been color plated, giving you an array of hues from spicy crimson, to magenta, to sumptuous greens and blues as well metallics. We make enough beads in a mix to produce at least 3 necklaces. In this way you are wearing a piece of jewelry that is both a limited edition and unique. Even though up to three pieces are made from the same mix, no two are identical. And of course they are made by hand by us, yours truly Science Girls in the USA. So please note: like the night sky or new clusters of nebula, our pieces are not static. Variations apply, this is the big bang of jewelry design. Like the universe, the possibilities are endless.
Most of our necklaces are adjustable, even chokers. With either ribbons or chain clasps, they can be worn tightly or hung like a loose garment.
We take great care in our finishings, to not have any jagged or rough edges to irritate you when you wear you new jewelry, as well as insuring they last several generations. These are pieces that should be handed down as heirlooms to your loved ones. To insure this is the case, we ask several simple things of you in caring for your handmade jewelry.
C A R E
Never bend or tightly twist. All wire will break if repeatedly bent in the same spot.
To store your jewelry roll up loosely and put it safely back in jewelry bag that she came in or one of your choosing.
Or lay flat making sure no other pieces of jewelry can snag or catch on the wires.
The weave can be carefully (and we want to reiterate - carefully) scrunched or lightly stretched to adhere to your neck shape.
PLEASE keep your pets and other possible nibblers away from your neck while wearing String Theory jewels.
wires do not tarnish, some of the closures and chains may patina over
time. We think this adds to its character and beauty, but if you don’t
care for that look you can make sure to keep your jewelry in a non
tarnishing flannel pouch.
- That's it. Enjoy our jewelry made to enhance your beauty and make you happy!
